Post Graduate / Graduate in Footwear Engineering or relevant degree from a well reputed University.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ To monitor production operation with quality, loss assessment of product & working hour, factory overall efficiency vs productivity. To identify poor performing workers/staffs, identify promising workers/staffs and apprise for action. Work closely with the People and Performance Manager/ Occupational Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of responsibility of this role are aware of safety requirements, both legislative and organizational policies /procedures, to provide a safe workplace for our employees. Work closely with plant and quality assurance personnel to review product quality consistency while monitoring yield rates and wastage to determine trends and areas of improvement. Keep under constant review the performance of all site facilities and utilities. Provide guidance to ensure the smooth and cost-effective functioning of all site facilities and utilities, e.g., power generation and distribution, overtime etc. Overall responsibility for ensuring that staffing and competency levels are achieved/exceeded in all aspects of the manufacturing process. Suggest factory management to reduce wastage of raw materials and product to the minimum. Maintain and ensure proper follow up of time and action calendar for all projects including new inquiries, sampling, development sampling & bulk production. Ensure discipline, punctuality and maintain harmony within the team, be cooperative and interact with other teams by exchanging ideas to solve problems, to source cheaper and to explore new vendors. Suggest the right factory for the right product & participate in the factory selection process from sample stage. Ensure size set comments conveyed to the factory is well understood & implemented correctly. Discuss size set comments with the factory production team & address all key points. Ensure all customer requirements are met in the production based on customer tech pack, manual, measurements, packaging & labelling details and lab testing are carried out & any risks are highlighted to the team in advance. Maintain the time and action calendar for all production sampling and ensure the factory follows the critical path & samples are sent in time & in the right quality. Partner with factories & support them through production problems on tough and challenging programs that require extra effort from both sides. Work together as a team in solving issues and addressing concerns.
