Education:
  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Leather Engineering, Footwear Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) from any recognized university.

  • An additional MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Factory Management or Supply Chain Management will be considered a distinct advantage.

  • Profound technical knowledge of automated modern footwear machinery, lasting technologies, injection molding, compounding, and finishing processes.

  • Strong abilities in factory resource planning, operational budgeting, workflow management, and strict cost control.

  • Ability to lead, mentor, and align a large, multi-disciplinary workforce of engineers, technicians, supervisors, and administrative personnel.

  • Thorough understanding of global material compliance standards, international audit frameworks, workplace safety (HSE), and Bangladesh Labour Act regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and professional communication skills with fluency in both Bengali and English.

  • Proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems and standard industrial office software.

Job Context:

Nasir Footwear Industries Limited, a subsidiary of Nasir Group, operates a state-of-the-art footwear manufacturing plant in Varadoba, Bhaluka, Mymensingh. To support our major production expansion, improve workflow efficiency, and maintain consistent international quality standards, we are seeking a highly competent and dynamic General Manager (Factory).

Job Responsibilities

  • Production & Planning: Formulate, implement, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, manufacturing budgets, and cost control measures to meet strategic targets.

  • Machinery & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, operation, and preventive/corrective maintenance of all automated factory machinery and utility systems to eliminate downtime and resolve workflow bottlenecks.

  • Inventory & Raw Materials: Supervise procurement planning, supply chain logistics, storage, and precise utilization of raw materials to maintain optimum inventory levels and minimize wastage.

  • Quality Assurance & Finished Goods: Enforce strict quality assurance protocols and compliance standards across all cutting, lasting, and packaging lines to ensure finished goods flawlessly meet buyer requirements.

  • Process Optimization: Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S methodologies, and modern management techniques to reduce waste, lower material rejection rates, and maximize resource productivity.

  • Team Leadership & Administration: Manage plant administration, foster a safe and highly productive work environment through active mentoring, skill development programs, and clear performance management.

  • Compliance & Coordination: Ensure complete compliance with national labor laws, factory safety regulations, and environmental rules. Coordinate seamlessly with head office management, compliance auditors, and local authorities.

  • Reporting: Review comprehensive plant performance reports, inventory data, and financial statements, directly reporting actionable insights to senior corporate management.
