Food Engineer (Quality Control – QC)

Job Summary

Momtahina Food & Oil Mills is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Food Engineer (Quality Control – QC) to ensure the highest standards of product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Bakery, Sweets (Confectionery), and Edible Oil manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control product quality throughout the production process.

• Inspect and test raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

• Ensure compliance with BSTI, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety regulations.

• Develop, implement, and maintain QC procedures, SOPs, and quality standards.

• Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Maintain laboratory records, quality reports, and production documentation.

• Work closely with the production team to ensure consistent product quality.

• Conduct hygiene, sanitation, and food safety audits.

• Support internal and external quality audits.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA).

• Mandatory experience in Bakery, Sweets (Confectionery), and Edible Oil manufacturing.

• Candidates without relevant industry experience will not be considered.

Additional Requirements

• Strong knowledge of BSTI, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and food safety management systems.

• Experience in laboratory testing, documentation, and quality assurance.

• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office.
