About the Project:
RDRS Bangladesh is working with the government of Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal are committed to achieving better education outcomes. National Education policies and strategic plans of the countries document their commitment to gender equality and social inclusion in education. However, their education metrics only collect and report data on gender and inclusion-related indicators at the macro level. Such aggregated measures lack information on the quality of the experience children go through, and more importantly, they do not provide any useful information for schools to address issues of equality and inclusion, which are critical for children to feel safe and supported in school and for them to be able to flourish and embody these values beyond school.
This project aims to create school environments where children are taught and experience gender equality and social inclusion and actively contribute to shaping these values. It will focus on what children value as essential to living a good life and their ability to do and be, also referred to as children’s valued capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure overall financial and administrative support for the project.
Check/review of regular day-to-day expenditures for projects and field offices and deal with cash management.
Prepare vouchers for payment and update registers accordingly.
VAT & tax payments & advances accordingly.
Ensure compliance with financial policies & procedures. Maintain contact with banks and other counterparts.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
Update books of accounts on a regular basis.
Preserve invoices/vouchers in a safe place.
Maintain financial transactions on a daily basis and report to the supervisor.
Maintenance and ensuring necessary logistical support for the project staff.
In accordance with the organizational policies and strategies, ensure rental fees and other use of materials.
Assist Project Manager in budget preparation, monitoring, and analysis.
Capable of preparing monthly payroll statements with applicable calculations.
Prepare different reports & need-based documents.
Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly and annual financial reports.
Preparation of a fund request to the donor mentioning details of the requirement.
Prepare financial report & submit timely to the management & donor agency.
Prepare the event budget breakdown as per approval of the project budget head.
Ensure that local purchases and expenditures are done as per the organizational finance/purchase policy.
Maintain the stock book, inventory, assets, and other essential registers properly and timely in an effective manner.
Participate in the procurement of goods and services in accordance with the organizational procurement policies and procedures.
Capable of preparing financial statements.
Support the internal and external audit team; respond to audit queries.
Attend trainings, meetings, and workshops to update knowledge and skills as assigned and disseminate new knowledge/information/lessons learned.
Willing to visit in the field level & support NGOAB-related compliance when needed.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the line management.
Each Festival Bonus is equivalent to one month`s basic salary
