Education:
    • Master of Science (MSc)
  • M.Sc. in Environmental Science/ Chemical Engineering from any reputed university.

  • Certification: Having relevant certification on Chemical Management, HIGG FEM etc. will be an added advantage.

  • Must have practical experience on working with Higgs Index (Higgs & also the Facility Environment Module).

  • Should have a passion for the environment, water saving, etc.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

A reputed garments manufacturer is looking for competent individual for the position of Executive/Sr. Executive- ECR.

Job Responsibilities:

Below are the job responsibilities of ECR concern:

Chemical Management:        

  • Develop the routine procedure to maintain brands MRSL/RSL strictly to maintain the production lead-time.        

  • Lead trainer for trainings associated with environment and chemicals.        

  • Facilitate for overall capacity building of facility and people related to chemicals and environment.        

  • Ensure original SDS, TDS, CoA, Guarantee letter and other certificates from suppliers. Follow APEO/ AP/ AZO/ FORMALDEHYDE Guidelines.        

  • Shall perform random on-site audit in chemical store, sub store, chemical kitchen, and spot removing room to ensure everything is going under compliance procedure.

  • Conduct Chemical Risk Assessment and confirm CAP.        

  • Co-ordinate chemical suppliers through supply chain to ensure Chemical Restriction List & Implementation Toolkit.

  • Conduct Chemical & Energy Audit and to prepare required corrective action for different audits findings related to Environment.        

  • To develop SOP, Policy, Procedure, Preparation for Chemical, Environment Management Operation, Chemical Flow and ECO Mapping, Risk Assessment etc.        

  • Keep up to date chemical inventory, labeling, MSDS and storage GHS (Globally Harmonized System) standard.        

  • Follow up & implement total proper chemical management system in the factory.        

  • To ensure Chemical Management work is in safe condition & regular monitoring·        

  • Maintain an up-to-date Chemical Inventory & input in any online tool (Clean Chain, BVE3 etc.)       

  • Assist in chemical risk assessment and selection of safer alternatives as per buyer standards.        

  • Arrange and conduct training sessions on EMS, chemical safety, safe handling, MRSL/RSL.

HIGG FEM / ISO:        

  • Coordinate and face brand`s and third-party audits related to environmental and chemical compliance.        

  • To make a strategic plan to evaluate, ensure and monitoring of environmental regulations and permits required for operations.        

  • Coordinate various sustainability initiatives like Higg FEM, PaCT, and Supplier to Zero, ISO, and BEPI.        

  • To take care of all kinds of Environment, Energy, Chemical related projects like OEKO-TEX® STeP, Detox to Zero, or any other projects offer from any Buyer end.        

  • Arrange & maintain all ECR related Documents for Environmental Compliance accordingly.        

  • Conduct Environment and confirm CAP.        

  • Develop, manage and maintain EMS related documentation.        

  • Conduct awareness training programs to workers on Environmental Management System, Chemical related training such as- chemical handling.        

  • Should have knowledge to understand all legal environmental and chemical regulations from local and global aspects like ECR 97, ECA 95 etc.        

  • To take care overall environmental issues of the factory, identify its impacts & take action accordingly.        

  • Facilitate to set HIGG Index & others environmental issues to implement as per guidelines.        

  • Facilitate to implement EMS, EIA, EMP, CMP (Chemical Management Plan) properly.        

  • To identify & plan for scope of energy & cost saving of the factory.        

  • Facilitate to conduct energy audit and energy management plan.        

  • Sustainable initiative to environmental health & safety management.        

  • Submit water sample to proper authority to obtain approval on the same.        

  • Analyze the report of water quality and take necessary actions accordingly for any deviation.        

  • To keep record of daily water reading consumption.         Prepare and maintain Environmental Management System (EMS) documents in alignment with ISO standards and buyer requirements.        

  • Support implementation of energy and water reduction programs aligned with company sustainability targets.

  •  Promote awareness campaigns on environmental sustainability, water savings, energy saving, and waste management.

  • Ensure GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and other environmental certificates are renewed, filed, and accessible.

ZDHC:        

  • ETP management & follow up on regular basis.

  • Implementation of ZDHC MRSL and AFIRM RSL guidelines.        

  • Oversee wastewater parameters (pH, BOD, COD, TDS, MLSS, SVI, etc.) and ensure compliance with DOE & ZDHC standards.

WASTE MANAGEMENT:        

  • Solid wastes management system & tracking with documentation.        

  • Coordinate legal compliance including ETP test reports, sludge disposal records, and regulatory licenses.       

  • Sourcing sustainable disposal available route of hazardous waste and integrate possible circular economy.

  • Provide training & awareness concerning Wastes managements / Chemicals/ EMS/ Energy Savings.
