• Sample Tracking: Manage the "Sample T&A" (Time & Action) calendar to ensure all sample stages meet buyer deadlines.

• Material Sourcing: Coordinate with the fabric and trim department to collect required materials for specific sample orders.

• Technical Coordination: Translate buyer "Tech Packs" and comments for the pattern makers and sewing operators to ensure corrections are implemented.

• Quality Assurance: Check the measurements, workmanship, and aesthetic look of the sample before it is presented to the Merchandiser or sent to the Buyer.

• Feedback Integration: Review buyer comments on previous samples and ensure all requested changes are accurately reflected in the next version.

• Documentation: Maintain organized records of all samples sent and received, including tracking numbers and courier documentation.

• Wash & Print Coordination: Liaise with washing plants and printing/embroidery units to ensure specialized treatments are executed correctly on the samples.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques.

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within a buying house or a factory’s sample department.

• Measurement Proficiency: Ability to accurately measure garments and compare them against spec sheets.

• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail regarding trims, labels, and stitching quality.

• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with both factory workers and the merchandising team.

• Education: Minimum Higher Secondary or a technical certificate in Apparel Manufacturing/Tailoring.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• On-Time Delivery (OTD): Percentage of samples delivered to the buyer by the requested deadline.

• Sample Accuracy: Rate of "First-Time Right" samples (minimizing the number of sample rounds required for approval).

• Comment Accuracy: Ensuring 100% of the buyer's technical comments are addressed in the subsequent sample.
