Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Boiler Operation – Ensure safe and efficient operation of the 100 TPH boiler, including chemical dosing, blowdown, steam purity, and protection systems.

  2. Turbine Management – Handle start-up, shutdown, synchronization, and safe operation of the 13.1 MW steam turbine generator with grid/captive load.

  3. Cooling Systems – Operate and monitor cooling tower fans, pumps, and maintain proper water distribution and condenser cooling.

  4. Parameter Monitoring – Track key parameters such as steam pressure, temperature, drum level, FD/ID fan operation, flue gas temperature, oxygen levels, and fuel consumption.

  5. Water Treatment – Supervise WTP, DM plant, and feedwater quality to ensure reliable boiler and turbine operation.

  6. Turbine Efficiency & Safety – Monitor inlet steam, bearing temperature, lube oil pressure, gland sealing steam, vibration levels, and condenser vacuum; optimize valve operation and load management.

  7. Control Systems – Operate and monitor all processes through DCS/SCADA, ensuring interlocks and trip logics remain active and tested.

  8. Reporting & Documentation – Maintain operational logs, shift reports, event records, daily operation reports, fuel consumption reports, and chemical/water analysis records.

  9. Performance & Safety – Conduct routine safety inspections, monitor heat rate, boiler/turbine efficiency, auxiliary power consumption, and respond to trips or grid disturbances.

  10. Emergency Handling – Manage blackout/plant shutdowns and ensure safe restart procedures.
