Job Context
Bongo Traders Ltd. (a concern of Akij Resource Limited) is looking for dynamic and energetic Officer/Asst. Officer – Production to support its fertilizer production operations across multiple locations in Bangladesh. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising fertilizer unloading activities, coordinating production and warehouse operations, managing labor teams, and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production processes. The role requires close coordination with warehouse, logistics, shipping, contractors, and operational teams to achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and operational excellence.
The selected candidates may be posted at any production or warehouse location in Bangladesh, including Noapara, Jashore, Khulna, Chattogram, Dhaka, Muktarpur, Baghabari, Barishal, or any other business location as required by the company.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure proper placement of lighter vessels at the designated unloading point.
Supervise fertilizer unloading operations and ensure uninterrupted production activities.
Manage labour teams and allocate manpower efficiently to meet daily operational targets.
Coordinate with the Warehouse Team for smooth cargo receiving, stacking, storage, and dispatch.
Inspect lighter vessels upon arrival and verify seals, hatch conditions, cargo status, and quantity before unloading.
Monitor daily unloading progress and ensure production targets are achieved within the scheduled timeframe.
Ensure availability of labour, empty bags, equipment, and other operational resources before commencing work.
Coordinate with vessel representatives, warehouse personnel, transporters, and contractors for smooth operations.
Monitor product quality during unloading and report any damaged, wet, or contaminated cargo immediately.
Prepare and submit daily production and unloading reports.
Maintain accurate operational records, production data, and stock movement documentation.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to increase productivity.
Assist in inventory reconciliation and physical stock verification when required.
Minimize operational delays and support timely completion of production activities.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Department Head or Management.
