Responsibilities & Context:
Receiving & Inspection: Check incoming raw materials (wood, hardware, foam, chemicals) against purchase orders and inspect for quality or damage.
Storage & Care: Store wood, fabrics, and hazardous chemicals safely under proper humidity and climate controls to prevent damage or fire.
Material Issuance: Supply materials to production teams based on official requisition forms and track usage using FIFO (First-In, First-Out).
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate physical and digital stock records, monitor reorder levels, and conduct periodic stock audits.
Finished Goods & Dispatch: Package completed furniture securely, log finished stock, and coordinate dispatch and gate passes.
Waste & Scrap Management: Categorize and track wood off-cuts and scrap materials to minimize material loss.
Safety & Housekeeping: Enforce safety guidelines and fire prevention protocols around combustible materials and solvents.
