Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following position from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing 'Rohingya children and adolescents aged 3-18 receive gender responsive, quality, inclusive education through the Myanmar curriculum and Early Childhood Development in the Rohingya refugee response, Cox's Bazar Project” funded by UNICEF Bangladesh. Please note that, duration of this project is up to March 31, 2026. Extension of this project will be made based on the approval of new PD.
Job Responsibilities
o Assessment of barriers to access and factors of vulnerability.
o Increase the knowledge humanitarian community regarding people at risk of exclusion, factors of exclusion, and solutions to remove barriers. Promote the effective consultation (participation) of communities affected by crisis before, during, and beyond humanitarian interventions.
o Reduce barriers to access during the design and implementation of humanitarian services; Assessment of humanitarian programs and services to identify good practices and gaps in knowledge, attitudes, professional practices, and policies.
o Support the challenges (barriers) that need to be reduced as well as the good practices (resources) that need to be promoted.
o Participate in the different levels of the service offered, including the institutional level, the program, and the service offered: participated to elaborate the framework of the services, policies, planning, resource mobilization, knowledge, skills, and attitudes of teams, operational tools and guidelines Teamwork and Management.
o Prepare work plan(s), feedback of meetings/ field visits, and periodic reports.
o Identify training needs and plan/conduct training to enhance the capacity of the beneficiaries.
o Ensure effective cooperation, coordination, and representation of the project with local stakeholders. Maintain monitoring and evaluation systems.
o Participate in the meetings assigned by the line manager.
o Regularly update the field situation to the line manager and follow his/her suggestions/ recommendations.
o Accountable for the image of the organization in Bangladesh and must promote its philosophy and approach.
o Maintain proper Donor/project communication, Data protection rule, and visibility guideline.
o Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation.
o Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
o Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
o S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation.
o Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
o Other tasks may be assigned by the PM as well as management as and when required.
