∎ JOB PURPOSE: He/she leads a team of intervention designers focused on turning human insights into tangible products, services, and consumer experiences, and helps programmes to carry those designs forward.
∎ As Design Lead, he/she frames challenges and set the course for compelling solutions that delivers tangible impact across a wide range of issues in the services, products, intervention and communication.
∎ He/she will be responsible for using Human Centred Design process to design interventions and prototypes. In addition, he/she continuously experiments with ideas, innovations and has a mind for problem solving. The team leader has empathy for the human condition, love for experimenting with technology, a strong aesthetic viewpoint, and understanding of innovation.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead design team for smooth operation and experimenting Human Centred Design principles to improve quality of services/product/communications incorporating user experience and behavioural insights in Social Innovation Lab's work.
∎ Coordinate with the other units of Social Innovation Lab (SIL) to familiarise this innovative approach and maintain strong liaisons to promote all programmatic units as well as uptake with other BRAC entities.
∎ Provide a strategic view with clients/users experience and human behavioural insights designing services, communication and interventions to transform BRAC into an evidence-based knowledge organization.
∎ Ensure systematic application of Human Centred Design (HCD) and behavioural insights in designing interventions, services, communications and products through engaging programmes in field research, ideation, creation, prototype, nudging and implementation.
∎ Coordinate and collaborate with Research and Insights team to create evidence with proper documentation and evaluated result of design experiments/ interventions to promote Knowledge Products for wider audiences and stakeholders for replications.
∎ Promote effective use of HCD methods and tools through systematic communication, consultation, orientation and collaboration with BRAC and other organisations.
∎ Ensure the quality and cost-effective services to design intervention.
∎ Manages staff, budget, resources and administration that related with design team operation as well as maintain working liaison with connected department i.e. communication, procurement, finance including with programmes and other BRAC entities and conduct conflict resolution and peer mediation sessions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years' of working experience in development and corporate sector preferred.
∎ Skilled in project management.
∎ Basic research knowledge and ability to develop insights.
∎ Ability to focus on tangible results.
∎ Learning and collaborative mindset.
∎ Knowledge on youth development and business models.
∎ Sound knowledge on Microsoft Office.
