∎ 2-3 years experiences, preferable to focusing on Disaster Risk Management or Climate Change or any other relevant areas
∎ Knowledge on DRR and CCA
∎ Experience with local government structure
∎ Experience working with livelihood initiatives
∎ Experience in working at coastal area
∎ Experience working with persons with disabilities will be added value
∎ Able to mobilize community and to facilitate meetings
∎ Experience to work as a therapy assistance will be given priority
∎ Willingness and commitment to work closely with coastal community including persons with disabilities

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Mobilize climate vulnerable community at Sarankhola including persons with disabilities for smooth implementation of the project;
∎ Organize and conduct regular meeting of self-help groups, i.e  persons with disabilities and  their organizations, disaster management committees, volunteers, mainstream DRR and CCA practicing organizations etc, in Wards and Union level
∎ Support the field coordinator to develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly action plan based on the project goals and objectives
∎ Regular field visit as per work plan
∎ Ensure quality work in the field level
∎ Collect case studies, good examples and learning of the project and deliver to field coordinator and higher management
∎ Ensure proper documentation of project activities and learning
∎ Support to organize and facilitate different orientation, workshop, training etc in the field
∎ Assist in organizing different outreach events as drills, street dramas, day observations related to disability, disaster and climate change adaptation etc.
∎ Maintain liaison with local administration, government and non-government organization
∎ Ensure safeguarding of women, children and adult at risk.Safeguarding responsibilities:
∎ Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants
∎ Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project
∎ Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.Additional Responsibilities:

CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD’s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ CDD is now recruiting for the mentioned position under the project titled, ‘Promoting regional approaches to inclusive and gender-responsive disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in South and Southeast Asia’ to be implemented with the support of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB). The duration of the project is till 31st August 2027.
∎ ***  Job Description:
