Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 4–5 years of proven experience as a Chemist, preferably in EVA, PVC, rubber, foam or footwear materials manufacturing industries.

• In-depth knowledge of polymer chemistry related to EVA and PVC compounding, cross-linking and foaming processes.

• Hands-on experience in cost reduction and process optimization through chemical modification.

• Familiarity with EVA sheet, granule and PVC processing machinery.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Chemist to manage chemical formulations, compound testing and quality assurance in our EVA production process. The role includes lab analysis, R&D support, troubleshooting compound issues and ensuring product quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chemical & Colour Formulation: Develop, test, and manage precise formulations for EVA Sheet, PVC Sheet, EVA Foaming Granule, and PVC Strap production.

• Granule Production for Phylon: Supervise the production of high-quality EVA granules suitable for Phylon (IP/Compression Molding) machines.

• EVA Sheet Production: Oversee chemical mixing and foaming processes for standard EVA compounds and sheet manufacturing.

• Cost Reduction through Chemical Optimisation: Research, test, and implement alternative chemicals or modify existing formulas to reduce product costs while maintaining quality standards.

• Production Planning & Process Control: Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.

• Process Monitoring & Optimisation: Continuously monitor daily production activities, analyse performance, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and output.

• Wastage Management & Process Improvement: Develop and execute strategies to minimise material wastage and lead initiatives for process enhancement and productivity growth.

• Material Consumption & Budget Control: Track raw material usage and manage production losses to ensure they remain within budgetary limits.
