Job Context:

Deputy Manager-Product, Design Lab to manage and develop the product portfolio across multiple international accounts by driving product development, material innovation, and technical compliance for footwear/apparel products, ensuring products meet each market's distinct aesthetic, quality, and performance standards while achieving delivery timelines

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive product development strategy from concept to bulk approval — including sampling, costing, and fit/construction reviews — aligned to each brand's style DNA and target consumer

• Interpret and guide the team on trend direction, mood boards, and design briefs to inform material and construction decisions across fashion, casual, and lifestyle categories

• Oversee coordination with material development, sourcing, and testing teams to identify on-trend materials, trims, and finishes within cost targets

• Own multiple, parallel sample development calendars across accounts, ensuring on-time submission and proactively resolving bottlenecks

• Take the lead in resolving complex quality, fit, or construction issues escalated from the team

• Drive costing strategy and lead negotiations with internal/external stakeholders to achieve target FOB/pricing across accounts

• Present seasonal line plans, tech packs, and development status updates directly to senior management and brand partners

• Ensure full compliance with retailer-specific and brand-specific quality/testing requirements across the account portfolio

• Partner closely with merchandising and design leadership on adoption rates, style rationalization, and re-order strategy
