Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or equivalent;

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in disability/ rehabilitation field;

  • Experienced in capacity strengthening is preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct needs assessments and collaborates with stakeholders to identify capacity-building needs and gaps;
  • Develop and implement comprehensive capacity-building strategies and plans aligned with project goals.
  • Create and adapt training materials, including presentations, handouts, and e-learning resources, to meet the specific needs of different audiences.
  • Develop Screening tools for early Identification of children with developmental delays and disabilities·
  • Provide technical support to partner organization (PO) to conduct household level survey to identify children with developmental delays and disabilities.
  • Develop a sustainable referral pathway for early identification and early intervention for children with disabilities
  • Provide technical support to partners’ organization to conduct accessibility assessment at community school. 
  • Home Modification for better accessibility for children with disabilities at community level. 
  • Provide caregivers training on continuing home exercise and related therapeutic activities and ADL·
  • Identify technical resources required for the implementation of the plan and support their mobilization and contextualization in close coordination with Program Manager.
  • Provide guidance to partner organizations in the identification of children with disabilities needs for assistive devices, and home adaptations.
  • Develop family information/education tools and support local service providers in developing and enforcing caregivers` rehabilitation training.
  • Identification of case studies and success stories to illustrate changes induced by the project and for communication use.
  • Any other assignment provided by the organization.

  • The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
  • CDD is planning to recruit one Capacity Building Officer - Health and Rehabilitation (EiEi) under project titled ‘Strengthening Early Identification & Early Intervention for the Children with Disabilities’ supported by Liliane Foundation (LF). The Capacity Building Officer is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing capacity-building programs and initiatives to enhance individuals, teams, and partner organization`s skills, knowledge, and capabilities. The incumbent will work closely with Management to assess training needs, develop appropriate training materials, and deliver practical capacity-building activities. Develop case studies and success stories to illustrate changes induced by the project and for communication use. Capacity Building officer is expected to ensure capacity-building plans are established and run in a timely manner for the project. The duration of the project is till December-2025.
