Responsibilities & Context:
CCECC (China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation) is one of the world's leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contractors, with a strong track record of delivering major infrastructure projects across the globe. We are currently recruiting for the Colombo Airport Expansion Phase II project — one of Sri Lanka's most significant infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Senior Site Engineer in supervising day-to-day site construction activities.
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and approved method statements.
Manage workers' work quality, work plans, and delivery deadlines to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Conduct site inspections, measurements, and quality checks under supervision.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site work teams.
Assist in preparing daily progress reports, material usage records, and site documentation.
Support the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and quality control procedures.
Report site issues, delays, and discrepancies to the Senior Site Engineer.
Ensure compliance with site safety regulations at all times.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Education: B.Sc in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in building construction projects.
Preferred: Experience in airport construction projects will be given strong preference.
Language: Very good spoken and written English.
Advantage: Previous working experience with Chinese, Korean, or Japanese construction companies will be considered a strong added advantage.
Fresh graduates with exceptional academic records may also be considered.
Working Hours:
8 hours per day, 6 days a week.
Overtime payment shall be calculated as per government policy.
Skills & Competencies:
Basic knowledge of construction methods, codes, and standards.
Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and learn quickly in a fast-paced site environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Eagerness to learn and grow within an international construction environment
Contract Period:
2 to 5 years, depending on performance.
