Responsibilities & Context:
  • Work with internal departments to ensure compliance with company’s code of conduct and all relevant local laws and regulations.

  • To prepare factory for social compliance certification & platform audits such as BSCI, SEDEX, FSLM, HiggFEM, SLCP, CTPAT, ISO etc.

  • Manage sustainable scope certification audits like GOTS, OCS, RCS, GRS, Oeko-Tex etc.

  • Maintain a track record of all certificates, permits and approvals needed to operate as a business and ensure these are renewed on time.

  • Act as contact point for buyer at company for sustainability issues

  • Arrange regular training on sustainability standards and best practices.

  • Plan for, conduct and follow up on fire and emergency drills as per plan.

  • Track social and environmental sustainability goals and targets to evaluate performance and support continuous improvement.

  • Develop and support local sustainability initiatives that positively impact people and the planet.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for various internal and external audiences.

  • Review compliance audit reports, evaluate findings, questions, and action plans.

  • Build an internal controls system to ensure risks / issues are addressed timely and progress reported regularly.

  • Develop a mechanism to escalate any serious or zero tolerance findings.

  • Keep track of new customer requirements and updates and work with internal stakeholders to address and adjust practices accordingly.
