Responsibilities & Context:
Production, Planning & Execution
Execute daily cutting plan as per production requirement.
Ensure on-time cutting to support sewing input.
Monitor line-wise fabric allocation and bundle preparation.
Coordinate with Planning, Merchandising, Store & Sewing departments.
Ensure proper fabric inspection before cutting.
Control fabric wastage and improve marker efficiency.
Monitor shrinkage, GSM, shade variation, and fabric defects.
Ensure proper spreading and cutting as per approved marker.
Supervise Cutting In-Charge, Supervisors, Spreaders, Cutters & Helpers.
Maintain discipline and productivity in the cutting floor.
Arrange manpower as per workload.
Conduct daily briefing and performance monitoring.
Ensure cutting quality as per buyer requirement.
Prevent panel shading, mismatch & measurement issues.
Coordinate with QA team for approval before bulk cutting.
Maintain proper numbering and bundling system.
Machine & Equipment Management
Ensure proper maintenance of cutting machines (Straight knife, Band knife, Auto cutter).
Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdown issues.
Ensure safety measures in cutting section.
