Job Responsibilities:
∎ Create computer dimensions of pattern according to size, considering stretching of material, size grading, sloppier block drafting.
∎ Create a master pattern within a range of garment size, using measurement charts, drafting instruments, CAD and/or grading devise.
∎ Create a paper pattern from which mass-produce a design concept.
∎ Determine the best layout of pattern pieces to minimize waste of material and mark fabric accordingly. Pattern efficiency and marker plan.
∎ Discuss design specifications with designers, and convert their original models of garments into patterns of separate parts that can be laid out on a length of fabric.
∎ Draw details on outlined parts to indicate where parts are to be joined, as well as the positions of pleats, pockets, buttonholes, embroidery, print placement and other features, using computers or drafting instruments, pattern marking.
∎ Draw details on outlines of pattern parts by adapting or copying existing patterns, or by drafting new patterns if needed to digitizing.
∎ Examine sketches, sample articles, and design specifications to determine quantities, shapes, and sizes of pattern parts, and to determine the amount of material or fabric required to make a product consumption.
∎ Mark samples and finished patterns with information such as garment size, section, style, identification, and sewing instructions.
∎ Position and cut out master or sample or sample patterns, using scissors and knives, or print out copies of patterns, using computers.
∎ Test patterns by making and fitting sample products.
∎ Carry out making patterns to test-fit pattern for fit to rectifying patterns.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The person will be required to have good knowledge and skill of making pattern manually as well as on the computer.
∎ Should be able to understand design sketch and details to translate them into Garments.
∎ Good understanding of Woven fabric and how they behave in PPE production.
∎ Knowledge & understanding of garment construction, and design proportions.
∎ Should know the computer aided pattern making software like LECTRA, etc.
∎ Courses or experience in fabrics and design will be considered as added advantage. Knowledge of design, apparel, materials are preferred.
∎ Capability to work with MS-Office, Internet & E-mail.
