Oversee day-to-day operations of General Store.
Maintain accurate stock levels through proper inventory management and regular audits.
Ensure timely receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and accessories.
Maintain proper documentation of stock movements (GRN, Issue Slips, Stock Registers).
Coordinate with procurement, production, and accounts teams for timely material flow.
Implement proper storage methods to prevent damage, loss, or wastage.
Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
Train and supervise store staff for efficient handling of materials.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management review.
Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and suggest corrective measures.
Ensure secure handling and storage of high-value and sensitive items.
Develop and implement store policies and procedures for smooth functioning.
Conduct periodic physical verification and reconcile with system records.
Ensure FIFO/LIFO methods for material issuance to reduce waste.
Assist in budgeting, demand forecasting, and resource planning.
Maintain good liaison with suppliers, vendors, and transporters for smooth supply chain operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize store efficiency.
