Responsibilities & Context:

Ventura Leatherware Mfy. (BD) Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager / Manager – Production to lead and supervise production operations. The role will oversee the performance of Production Senior Officers and ensure smooth execution of production plans. The ideal candidate must have strong manufacturing knowledge, excellent leadership abilities, and the capability to drive production efficiency, cost control, and team discipline. Proficiency in Chinese language will be considered an added advantage for cross-functional communication with overseas stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the production team, including 05 Production Floor.

• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet delivery timelines.

• Monitor production KPI performance such as output, efficiency, quality, and wastage.

• Ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.

• Coordinate with Planning, QA, Production Engineering, TPM / Maintenance, and IE teams to resolve operational issues.

• Optimize production capacity by improving workflow, line balancing, and time management.

• Analyze production bottlenecks and implement process improvements (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen).

• Monitor attendance, discipline, and overall workforce management in the production unit.

• Control production costs by reducing wastage and enhancing resource utilization.

• Maintain accurate production reports and present progress to the Production Head.

• Provide training, coaching, and performance development for production teams.

• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Communicate with other stakeholders including Chinese stakeholders for production updates.
