Experience:
Build competency in social compliance management, workplace Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices, and RSC requirements.
Strong knowledge of the EPZ Labor Act & Rules, BEPZA regulations, RSC/Nirapon requirements, and environmental management.
Good communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and support internal and external compliance audits.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet compliance deadlines.
Ventura Leatherware Mfy. (BD) Ltd., a 100% Export Oriented Enterprise located in Uttara EPZ, Nilphamari, is seeking a competent and proactive professional for the position of Officer – Compliance. The Officer – Compliance will be responsible for ensuring compliance with social, legal, environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements while supporting customer audits and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires sound knowledge of labor laws, EPZ regulations, RSC/Nirapon requirements, environmental management, and strong communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with social, legal, environmental, occupational health & safety, customer Code of Conduct, and BEPZA/EPZ regulatory requirements.
Conduct workplace inspections, internal compliance audits, and monitor fire, electrical, structural, and workplace safety requirements, including RSC/Nirapon corrective actions.
Support environmental compliance activities related to waste management, chemical handling, water usage, energy efficiency, and emissions control.
Coordinate customer and third-party audits (SMETA, Higg FEM, RSC/Nirapon, CTPAT/GSV, Technical Audits) and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain compliance documentation, legal records, policies, SOPs, audit reports, licenses, and statutory records to ensure audit readiness.
Investigate compliance and safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Conduct compliance, health, safety, and environmental awareness programs and training sessions to strengthen employee knowledge and compliance culture.
Prepare weekly and monthly compliance reports, KPI dashboards, and management updates while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Compliance Manager or Management.
Salary review after successful completion of probationary period along with guaranteed allowance of BDT 4,000.

Annual performance incentive on completion of calendar year.
