Responsibilities & Context:

Prantic Unnayan Society (PRANTIC), Bangladesh established in 1998 is a national level non-profit organization working to improve the lives of the marginalized people across 15 Upazila under 8 districts in Bangladesh. Our programs focus on education, health, livelihoods, WASH, good governance, emergency response, and skills development.

“Enabling Marketing & Production Opportunities for Women’s Economic Resilience” (EMPOWER) project aims to strengthen women’s income generation by mechanizing sewing centres in Ukhiya and Camp-4, engaging 76 women (32 host + 44 Rohingya) to produce and market apparel.

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining transparent and accurate financial management of the project, ensuring compliance with Prantic Unnayan Society (PRANTIC)’s financial policies and donor guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of Accountant:    

Accounts -

  • Maintain daily financial records, cash books, and ledgers.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports in line with project requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Prantic Unnayan Society (PRANTIC)’s financial policies and donor regulations.

  • Support procurement processes and maintain proper documentation.

  • Assist in budget tracking, variance analysis, and expenditure monitoring.

  • Ensure timely payments, advances, settlements, and staff reimbursements.

  • Support internal and external audits.

    HR & Admin-

  • Play administrative roles and assist HR officer for HR related issues.

  • Maintain staff attendance and leave register for each and every staff

  • Notify late office attendance and absence by the end of each month.

  • Supervise support staff and security guards.

  • Logistic-

  • Maintain Stock Register for local Purchase and distribution of all material.

  • Prepare monthly inventory report.

  • Always update stock register with physical verification.

  • Maintain proper documents of storage, distribution, assets (with visible identification numbers), all rents, MoUs, NGO AB approvals, RRRC approvals and agreements.

  • Others-

  • Assist program colleagues whenever necessary.

  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
