Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Science, HRM, Labor Studies, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the RMG or manufacturing sector.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws, labor rights, and compliance frameworks.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, approachable, and detail-oriented personality.
Prior experience in factory-level welfare or compliance roles preferred.
1. Employee Welfare & Well-being:
Ensure the physical, mental, and social well-being of workers.
Address employee grievances and provide counseling or referrals as required.
Promote a healthy, safe, and inclusive workplace environment.
Oversee and monitor worker welfare initiatives (e.g., restrooms, medical care, canteen facilities).
2. Compliance with Labor Laws & Standards:
Ensure strict adherence to national labor laws and international compliance standards (ILO, BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX, etc.).
Stay updated on relevant labor regulations and compliance requirements.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
3. Grievance Handling:
Act as a bridge between management and workers to resolve conflicts and grievances effectively.
Maintain a transparent and functional grievance redressal system.
Record, monitor, and report grievance trends to management for preventive actions.
4. Worker Education & Awareness:
Conduct orientation programs for new workers on rights, policies, and workplace regulations.
Organize training and awareness sessions on health, hygiene, safety, and legal rights.
Promote gender sensitivity, anti-harassment policies, and workplace equality.
5. Health & Safety Coordination:
Collaborate with safety officers to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including fire safety training.
Monitor maternity benefits and provide adequate support for female workers, especially during pregnancy.
6. Facilities & Services Monitoring:
Conduct regular inspections of factory facilities such as drinking water, washrooms, childcare centers, and medical rooms.
Ensure proper hygiene, functionality, and accessibility of welfare amenities.
Recommend and follow up on improvements to management.
7. Worker Participation & Engagement:
Facilitate the formation and functioning of Worker Participation Committees (WPCs) or Trade Unions (TUs).
Encourage constructive dialogue between workers and management.
Organize recreational, cultural, or social activities to foster engagement.
8. Audit & Reporting:
Assist in internal and external compliance and welfare audits.
Prepare periodic welfare performance reports for HR/Compliance Management.
Track KPIs and recommend improvement initiatives.
