Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and Accounting
∎ Have a professional accounting qualification from an institution recognized in Bangladesh
∎ Have experience of working in a reputed chartered accountants' firm in Bangladesh
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review data received from businesses and prepare operating cash flows forecast report
∎ Provide early warning signals in terms of any shortfall in operating cash flow based on working capital changes during the period
∎ Review receivables and payables on a periodic basis and recommend changes to terms and conditions to stabilize cash flow, as required
∎ Provide guidance to the operating teams for cascading payments and collections targets based on forecasts
∎ Prepare bank reconciliation statement for all the bank accounts and share with supervisor for review
∎ Track submission of all relevant export documents to bank for realization and closing invoices
∎ Lead interactions with banks to ensure adherence to payment timelines; Co-ordinate with banks to obtain advice, balances, outstanding and receivable details
∎ Jointly with supervisor negotiate with banks for optimum interest rates for loan and tax credit purposes
∎ Provide checklist of all pending issues with banks for redressal
∎ Plan vendor payment disbursement timelines and priority to enable optimal working capital ratio
∎ Check accuracy of all export documents received from logistics department to identify any discrepancies and send to relevant department for resolution
∎ Prepare and process payments as per guidelines
∎ Receive cheques/payment from bank against receipts due and carry out disbursement of payments to teams
∎ Prepare report on payments processed, forecast payments and other information on discrepancies or delays on payments
∎ Receive and process cash flow inputs to plan realization of payments
∎ Update ERP system with accounting entries of daily cash disbursement
∎ Track team member performance at an individual level and provide support/ guidance wherever required to ensure achievement of yearly plans
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Have working experience in treasury or banking role
∎ Have experience of managing a team
∎ Advanced knowledge in IFRS, corporate finance and local tax regulations
∎ Solid understanding of governance, risk, and control
∎ Intermediate knowledge in business strategy and local corporate laws
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills in English for use with internal and external partners
∎ Willingness and ability to learn and experiment with new ideas and approaches
∎ Good team player and relationship builder
∎ Able to develop, motivate and lead a team
