2–6 years of experience in a Welfare/HR role in an RMG factory.
Good understanding of labor law, worker welfare practices, and compliance requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with workers.
Empathetic, approachable, and able to handle sensitive worker issues.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities & Context:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Welfare Officer to join our factory team. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring worker well-being, maintaining harmonious industrial relations, and supporting compliance with labor laws and buyer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between workers and management, addressing grievances and providing counseling when required.
- Ensure effective communication of company policies, benefits, and welfare facilities to employees.
- Coordinate and monitor canteen, transport, medical, childcare, and recreational facilities for workers.
- Assist in conducting awareness programs on health, safety, maternity rights, and workplace rights.
- Support worker committees (e.g., Participation Committee, Safety Committee) and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide orientation and induction to new workers regarding rights, responsibilities, and company rules.
- Maintain up-to-date records on welfare activities, grievances, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law and buyer’s Code of Conduct related to welfare and worker services.
