Responsibilities & Context:
Ledger & Record Maintenance: Processing and maintaining mandatory VAT books and registers, such as Mushak 6.1 (purchase register), Mushak 6.2 (sales register), and Mushak 4.3
Tax Deduction at Source (TDS/VDS): Calculating, deducting, and depositing withholding taxes and VAT at source from local vendors, ensuring the issuance of Mushak 6.6 certificates.
Price Declaration & Audits: Preparing price declarations (Mushak 4.2) for approval from customs/VAT authorities, and assisting the finance team during government VAT audits.
Liaison: Serving as the primary point of contact for the local VAT Circle and Division offices, and handling VAT-related hearings or official inquiries.
VAT Return Submissions: Preparing and filing accurate monthly VAT returns (Mushak 9.1/19) on the NBR's Online VAT Portal.
