Planning and Strategy:

• Developing and implementing transportation strategies, setting performance goals, and optimizing transportation networks.

Operations Management:

• Overseeing daily transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and tracking of vehicles and shipments.

Staff Management:

• Managing and leading transportation staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and other personnel.

Compliance:

• Ensuring adherence to all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.

Cost Management:

• Monitoring and controlling transportation costs, optimizing routes, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Maintenance and Safety:

• Managing vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition and meet safety requirements.

Communication and Coordination:

• Maintaining clear communication with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders, coordinating deliveries and shipments.

Problem Solving:

• Identifying and resolving transportation-related issues, such as delays, traffic problems, or equipment malfunctions.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Tracking key performance indicators, generating reports, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
