Educational Requirements:
∎ Master in Public Health /Development Studies/ International Relation / Social science, any discipline but Bachelor in Health Care Science/Rehabilitation Science with Masters (Health/Disability) is preferable from any renowned university. Candidate having more than one post-graduation degree will be added advantage.
∎ Minimum having any International Post Graduate cert. Training related with related disability management will added as an advance
∎ Minimum 2 first division/Class till Bachelor level & CGPA 3.00 (out of 4) in Master level .No 3rd division/class will be considered

Job Context:
∎ Disabled Rehabilitation & Research Association (DRRA) is a non-government, voluntary development organization in Bangladesh working for the destitute and person with disabilities since 1996. DRRA is running a country program on disability Inclusive development more than 20 districts of Bangladesh. Program addressed Health, Rehabilitation, Education and Community development with more than 15 categories of stakeholders at local and National level. DRRA is already implementing this program through DPOs and CBOs last 4 years. It is a second phase of DRRA flagship program.
∎ Team leader (PRIDE Program) will work as a member of the PRIDE program Management Team & reporting to Executive Director, the applicant will lead the PRIDE program team of the organization independently. He/ She should have quality of leadership, planning, implementation, & commitment to rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the Project team for planning, execution and monitoring of project activities
∎ He/ she will be capable to develop strategic planning and able to take prompt decision
∎ He/ she will have to have skill on grand and partnership management in micro and macro level.
∎ Management of the project cycle and strengthening of the integrated process of disability Rehabilitation and development in close collaboration with other team member/relevant Unit of the organization
∎ Meeting the objectives of DRRA within the framework of the integrated Rehabilitation Program for children & persons with disabilities dealing with rural target areas.
∎ Ensure clarity about roles and responsibilities among project stakeholders involving them in planning and informing all stakeholders of implementation plans
∎ Maintain good relationships with National level government authority for Disability
∎ Oversee the production of project reports in a variety of periods (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
∎ Provide narrative progress reports as requested
∎ Find out new research idea and execute the research and report writing
∎ Contribute to wider organizational goals within National level stakeholder
∎ Participate actively in the management processes of the DRRA team, including team meetings, sharing of information, context analysis, and strategy development
∎ Planning, budgeting and forecasting of all project activities.
∎ Coordinate between the Project, Administration & Finance management of the organization
∎ In collaboration with other member of senior management providing new and innovative idea to foster the organization's branding in nationally and internationally
∎ Networking and collaboration of partner organization of PRIDE
∎ Staff supervision, performance management and staff capacity building
∎ Monitoring & Track budget of the Program/project as budget holder
∎ Coordination of all project activities including development of work plan for Project
∎ He/she is responsible to ensure all program and LF funded projects coordination.
∎ SMART communication skill with donors, partner organizations.
∎ Assist to Executive Director for project Designing, budgeting, especially on Project function related to knowledge management and communication.
∎ Performing any other duties and jobs as per the directives of the Line Manager
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum 10 years post qualification experience in the field of Disability & Development or Experiences in working with persons with disabilities in NGO/INGO, at least 5 -7 years in senior level positions.
∎ Minimum 5-7 years Managerial experience to Manage complex/multiple Disability Rehabilitation Project particularly rural areas
∎ Working experience in International organization is preferable
∎ Understanding of Disaster & Climate Change issue as well as Experience in Disaster Risk Reduction/Management Project/project(specially for persons with disabilities ) will be added advantage
∎ Experience to work with International/National NGO through partnership will be added advantage
∎ Good understanding on Medical, Social & Rights model for persons with disability Rehabilitation
∎ Understanding on CBR Matrix, CRC, CEDAW, UNCRPD & MDG
∎ Experience to lead a team comprises with Project coordinator/Manager, Project officer, Rehab. Professional is preferable
∎ Good communication skills in both oral and written English and Bangla
∎ Strong leadership and managerial skills, planning and staff management;
∎ Excellent skills in advocacy and negotiations;
∎ Good computer skills e.g. MS words, power point, Outlook, excels etc.
∎ Experience in Training & capacity building activities related to persons with disabilities management will be added advantage
∎ Excellent facilitation skill
∎ Building purposeful relationship across units and beyond
∎ Strong communications and interpersonal skills to meet the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the Project and to effectively coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders.
