Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilities & Context

1. Factory Floor Administration

  • To Maintain strong discipline in floor.

  • Oversee and ensure smooth day-to-day administrative operations of the factory.

  • Manage facility services including housekeeping, maintenance, materials, floor and utilities.

  • Ensure adherence to factory rules, company policies, and labor regulations.

2. Discipline & Code of Conduct Enforcement

  • Maintain discipline, punctuality, and order among workers.

  • Handle grievances, misconduct, and take necessary disciplinary actions as per company policy.

  • Create a structured work environment with military-style operational discipline.

3. Security

  • Manage all aspects of factory security including gate control, visitor entry, and perimeter security.

  • Supervise security personnel (in-house or outsourced) and ensure factory premises are secure 24/7.

  • Prepare and enforce emergency response plans (fire, theft, natural disaster, etc.).

4. Personnel Management

  • Supervise administrative and support staff including HR support, security, drivers, and housekeeping.

  • Coordinate with HR on recruitment and onboarding of support/admin staff.

5. Compliance & Legal Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, labor laws, fire safety, health & safety standards, and environmental norms.

  • Coordinate with compliance teams for buyer audits, social compliance inspections, and certifications.

  • Liaise with local government authorities, police, and regulatory bodies as needed.

6. Welfare, Health & Safety

  • Ensure adequate worker welfare facilities – drinking water, toilets, restrooms, canteen, first aid.

  • Monitor implementation of workplace safety measures (PPE, fire drills, health checks).

  • Address and resolve worker complaints and ensure a safe, respectful workplace.

7. Facility & Asset Management

  • Maintain factory infrastructure, equipment, lighting, utilities (water, power, etc.).

  • Oversee repair and maintenance of physical assets and buildings.

  • Maintain records of company property and enforce asset protection measures.

8. Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between factory management and floor-level employees.

  • Coordinate with production, HR, merchandising, and accounts for seamless operations.

  • Support crisis management, incident reporting, and conflict resolution.

9. Leadership & Training

  • Impart discipline and leadership training to junior staff and floor-level supervisors.

  • Conduct workshops on safety, protocol, chain of command, and emergency handling.

  • Promote a culture of integrity, punctuality, and professionalism.

10. Ideal Profile (Retired Army Officer)

  • Proven leadership, command experience, and crisis management skills.

  • Strong understanding of structure, chain of command, and discipline enforcement.

  • Calm, firm, and decisive in handling employee issues and emergency situations.

Excellent coordination with civil authorities and local law enforcement.
