Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Apparel Manufacturing, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Merchandising
∎ A Bachelors degree or above in Fashion Designing/ Apparel Manufacturing, etc. from BUFT or any reputed/ recognized University with national/global accreditation
∎ BGMEA University of Fashion Technology students will get preference

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Proactive involvement in handling all merchandising related functions independently as well as working in close conjunction with merchandising team members in overseeing different clients/customer accounts, beginning from yarn/fabric consumption till final inspection & order shipment
∎ Engaging in daily interactions with commercial/export documentation department for following up on procurement-related commercial documentations with regard to raw materials/ yarns/ fabrics/ accessories/ trims, etc
∎ Working as a facilitator of merchandising functions with each of the merchandising team members to provide management team members daily integrated merchandise related status updates
∎ Coordinating merchandising functions on a daily basis with production/production planning department to ensure timely development and delivery of sample programs and timely delivery of yarns/accessories/trims to factory as planned against the relevant time & action plans and schedules
∎ Scheduling and supervising time & action plans for sample section programs in a synchronized manner for timely delivery to buyers/customers, as well as conducting independent inspections of the sample garments before being sent to clients/customers
∎ Daily planning and scheduling of different sampling requirements originating from the different manufacturing units within the organization, and coordinating sequenced series of sampling programs from the sample sections according to date-wise priority
∎ Engaging in style-wise critical path analysis to ensure optimum merchandising support to the various interrelated departments with special emphasis on ensuring on-time delivery of yarn/fabrics/accessories/trims to the production floors, as well as ensuring following up with the production planning department to ensure on-time shipment schedules
∎ Communicate with buyers on day to day merchandising activities and approvals
∎ Ensure and monitor shipment of the product
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 42 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experienced in both woven tops apparels.
∎ Expertise in Blazer Merchandising is encouraged to apply.
∎ BUFT graduate will get preference.
∎ Interested candidates seeking to join in this capacity must be willing to relocate close to the factory area as per the requirements of factory management
∎ Prior working experiences in similar working environments (merchandising, sampling, production, quality)
∎ Fluency in written and spoken communication (English and Bengali)
∎ Basic foundation in using computer applications (INTERNET, Microsoft office suite, etc.)
