∎ Graduate in Textile Manufacturing or Apparel Merchandising from a well reputed institution
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years’ merchandising experience in Sweater.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Sweater factory, Buying office (in sweater product)
∎ Profound knowledge of sweater yarn, knitting structure and production processes is required
∎ Have sound knowledge of costing, yarn and an excellent network of yarn, print, embroidery & trims suppliers
∎ Should be able to source and develop new products independently
∎ Should have a passion for product development, an eye for styles/details and fits.
∎ Must be capable to handle two/three buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitude
∎ Must have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and procedures
∎ Good understanding of core business aspects
∎ Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials booking and delivery
∎ Should have capability of day-to-day communication with buyers, supplier and factories.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
∎ Ability to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlines

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Independently execute Sweater product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new yarns, and develop customer specific collections
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals
∎ Continuously update the yarn, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price idea for easy reference
∎ Understand customer requirements and closely work with design team to manage the correct samples within time and quality
∎ Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, and activities
∎ Ensure production and samples follow up with factories and related procedures
∎ Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals
∎ Prepare the QA files for on time handover for both Factory and QC’s.
∎ Source trims, accessories, and yarns (both overseas and local)
∎ Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factories
∎ Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality testing for customer approval
∎ Work closely with the yarn mills and suppliers ahead of design packs to develop new fabrics and finishes to reduce lead time
∎ Follow-up TNA on regular basis to ensure on-time delivery
∎ Visit factories regularly to get market intelligence
∎ Coordinate and monitor quality of the product through quality personnel
∎ Place forwarder booking through logistics and monitor the shipment of the products
∎ Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
∎ Job Context: The Senior Merchandiser holds the accountability for working closely with the team and independently handling respective accounts from product development and sampling stage till shipment ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and timely dispatch in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
