Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager – Maintenance is responsible for ensuring smooth operation and maximum efficiency of all process and utility machinery in the factory. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, utility management, spare parts control, and compliance-related activities to ensure uninterrupted production and adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Context:

• Prepare and implement the preventive maintenance schedule for all process and utility machinery, including injection molding machines, molds, chillers, compressors, and generators.

• Plan, develop, and execute maintenance strategies to ensure continuous and reliable plant operation.

• Review and update maintenance schedules regularly based on machine performance and operational data.

• Take immediate action during machine breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure quick restoration of operations.

• Supervise root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Maintain accurate records of breakdown incidents, repair work, and downtime reports.

• Forecast and follow up on spare parts requirements for all factory machinery.

• Maintain an optimal stock level of critical spares and consumables to support uninterrupted operations.

• Liaise with the procurement department for timely sourcing and purchase of spare parts.

• Plan, develop, and monitor the operation of utility systems including gas, water, air, and power supply.

• Ensure utility systems are efficiently managed and maintained to support production needs.

• Coordinate with the electrical and mechanical teams to optimize energy consumption.

• Follow up and ensure maintenance-related compliance with statutory and company requirements.

• Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits (quality, safety, environment, etc.).

• Ensure maintenance activities align with organizational policies on safety, environment, and quality management.

• Coordinate with production, quality, and other department heads to align maintenance activities with production schedules.

• Report all maintenance activities, issues, and progress to the GM – Factory Operations on a daily basis.

• Prepare monthly performance reports highlighting key maintenance KPIs (downtime, MTTR, MTBF, cost, etc.).

• Lead, guide, and develop the maintenance team to enhance technical skills and operational efficiency.

• Conduct training programs on equipment maintenance, safety, and preventive practices.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
