Responsibilities & Context:
The role is responsible for ensuring quality compliance of locally sourced footwear by conducting inspections, coordinating with internal teams and factories, and driving continuous quality improvement in line with Bata’s quality standards, ethical policies, and safety requirements.
Conduct in-process, final, and pre-shipment inspections of locally sourced footwear in accordance with Bata quality standards.
Ensure shoes meet approved samples, specifications, workmanship, and functional requirements.
Coordinate with local factories, sourcing, product development, and merchandising teams to plan and execute inspection activities.
Verify materials, components, construction, finishing, labeling, and packaging during inspections.
Perform AQL-based inspections and prepare clear inspection reports with findings and corrective actions.
Identify quality defects and follow up on non-conformities and root cause analysis with factories.
Ensure proper implementation and closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Monitor factory quality performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with approved BOM, packaging standards, and test requirements.
Coordinate wear tests, lab tests, and validation checks where required.
Maintain proper traceability, lot identification, and inspection records.
Support bulk production release approvals by confirming quality readiness.
Participate in MQA processes, factory audits, line trials, and process inspections as assigned.
Ensure adherence to Bata quality policies, ethical standards, and safety requirements.
Communicate inspection status, risks, and issues clearly with all relevant stakeholders.
