Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Age 30 to 40 years
  • Strong command over MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – especially in data analysis, reporting, and presentation preparation.

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, in English and Bangla. Strong analytical and numerical ability to evaluate quotations, compare costs, and assess supplier performance.

  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills to manage supplier pricing and contract terms effectively.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects or suppliers simultaneously.

  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and material sourcing channels across Bangladesh.

  • Understanding of quality control and production processes in relevant industries (e.g., footwear, leather, or apparel).

  • Willingness to travel frequently for supplier visits, factory audits, and inspections.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop and manage local footwear sourcing operations, including supplier identification, development, and end-to-end procurement follow-up.

  • Conduct supplier evaluations, factory audits, and onboarding of qualified manufacturers across Bangladesh.

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost efficiency and reliable supply.

  • Oversee and maintain accurate documentation for purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and import/export records.

  • Coordinate quality inspections and ensure suppliers comply with company standards on labor, environment, and safety.

  • Monitor production schedules, address bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery of products.

  • Act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal departments including design, merchandising, sales, and logistics.

  • Source raw materials and finished products in alignment with technical and commercial specifications.

  • Manage claim settlements in coordination with suppliers and relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular market intelligence and benchmarking on industry trends, raw material pricing, and competitor activities.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives among suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce defect rates and customer complaints.

  • Maintain robust reporting systems and records for procurement and logistics operations.
