• Strong knowledge of denim fabric, wash behavior, and denim wash problems and high-risk areas.

• Able to troubleshoot complex wash issues and ensure stable results in bulk.

• Skilled in developing new wash techniques and achieving buyer-approved wash standards.

• Ability to train and guide junior technicians and ensure process discipline at washing plants.

• Understanding of wash recipes, wash methods, and PP sample preparation.

• Must be prompt in identifying and solving wash-related risks.

• Good coordination skills with washing plants, QC, merchandisers, and production teams.

Context: Entrust Fashions Ltd. is a leading woven (Denim) bottom garments manufacturer catering to global buyers. As most of our products require specialized denim washing, we work closely with multiple external washing plants. To strengthen our washing quality, development capabilities, and ensure smooth bulk execution, we are looking for skilled and committed professionals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily washing operations at assigned washing factories and ensure all approved wash processes are followed correctly.
• Understand and apply denim wash techniques such as enzyme, stone, bleach, acid wash, rinse, spray, softener, potassium, etc.
• Develop new washing techniques according to buyer requirements and create/test wash recipes and samples for approval.
• Prepare lab dips, wash samples, and PP (Pre-Production) samples; submit to merchandisers/buyers for approval.
• Check, count, and verify wash send vs. wash receive quantities and maintain proper documentation.
• Identify wash-related risks such as fabric damage, shrinkage, staining, streaks, torque, shade variation, and take immediate corrective action.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of denim fabric structure, yarn dyeing (indigo), fiber composition, and how this influence wash behavior.
• Identify denim’s vulnerable areas during washing (e.g., pocketing, waistband, whisker zones, seams) and ensure preventive handling to avoid over-processing or damage.
• Adjust wash processes based on denim characteristics such as stretch recovery, slab texture, indigo bleeding, and shrinkage response.
• Supervise bulk washing and closely monitor chemical dosage, temperature, time, and machine settings to ensure consistency.
• Check shade variation, color fastness, fabric shrinkage, hand feel, and garment appearance.
• Ensure washed garments meet buyer standards for quality, appearance, and durability, and work closely with QC and Production teams to maintain uniform results.
• Support buyer technicians during wash approvals, inspections, and PP meetings.
• Experiment with new washing methods, eco-friendly chemicals, and stay updated on market trends and innovations in denim washing.
• Communicate daily wash updates, challenges, and solutions to department heads.
