Bachelor's degree in Business, Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
7–10+ years of experience in merchandising and product development.
Proven experience handling multiple product categories.
Strong knowledge of product costing, consumption calculations, and price negotiations.
Excellent understanding of sourcing, supply chain, and manufacturing processes.
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and merchandising-related reporting tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities & Context:
Manage end-to-end product development activities across multiple product categories.
Coordinate with buyers and vendors to develop products according to customer requirements.
Prepare and analyze product costing, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining target margins.
Source materials, trims, and accessories to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers.
Monitor sample development, approvals, and production readiness.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including sourcing, production, quality, and logistics.
Track critical paths and ensure timely execution of development and production milestones.
Analyze market trends, raw material costs, and competitor products to support business growth.
Resolve development and costing issues proactively to meet customer expectations.
