Key Responsibilities
1. Fire Prevention & Safety
o Conduct regular inspections of factory buildings, production areas, warehouses, electrical rooms, kitchens, and other high-risk areas.
o Identify fire hazards and recommend corrective actions.
o Ensure fire exits, emergency routes, stairways, and assembly points remain accessible.
o Monitor proper storage and handling of flammable materials.
2. Fire Fighting Equipment
o Regularly inspect fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, smoke/heat detectors, emergency lights, and other fire safety equipment.
o Maintain inspection and testing records.
o Ensure defective or expired equipment is repaired/replaced promptly.
o Coordinate periodic servicing and testing of fire protection systems.
3. Emergency Preparedness
o Develop and maintain emergency response procedures.
o Organize regular fire drills and evacuation exercises.
o Maintain emergency evacuation plans and assembly-point arrangements.
o Coordinate with the Fire Service and Civil Defense authorities when required.
4. Training
o Conduct fire safety awareness training for workers and employees.
o Train designated fire-fighting/emergency response teams.
o Provide practical training on fire extinguisher use, evacuation procedures, emergency communication, and first response.
5. Inspection & Compliance
o Conduct daily/weekly/monthly fire safety inspections according to company procedures.
o Maintain fire safety registers, checklists, drill records, training records, and equipment inspection records.
o Support factory audits by Fire Service, buyers, compliance teams, and other authorities.
o Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from inspections and audits.
6. Emergency Response
o Act as part of the factory emergency response team.
o Respond immediately to fire alarms and other emergencies.
o Assist in evacuation and headcount at assembly points.
o Coordinate with external emergency services during incidents.
7. Reporting
o Prepare periodic fire safety reports for management.
o Report unsafe conditions, fire hazards, equipment failures, and incidents immediately.
o Investigate fire-related incidents and recommend preventive measures.
8. Coordination
o Coordinate with Maintenance, Electrical, Production, Security, HR, and Administration departments regarding fire safety.
o Liaise with Fire Service & Civil Defense and other relevant authorities when necessary.
