• Strong technical knowledge of sweater and knitwear manufacturing.

• Good understanding of yarns, knitting, garment construction, linking, washing, finishing and quality requirements.

• Experience in sample development and bulk production.

• Ability to identify technical problems and provide practical solutions.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience in a similar Technical Manager or Senior Technical position in a sweater/knitwear factory will be preferred.

• Provide technical support and instructions for sample development and bulk production to ensure products meet customer quality and technical requirements.

• Work closely with the Merchandising, Buying House, Design, IE, Programming, Knitting and Production teams to solve technical issues and ensure smooth production.

• Attend pre-production (PP) meetings and clearly communicate all important technical, quality and construction requirements to the relevant teams.

• Review technical specifications, knitting charts, yarn consumption, measurements and other production-related reports.

• Support the sample development team by providing technical guidance and practical solutions to problems related to construction, measurements, shape, finishing and garment appearance.

• Ensure that samples are developed using suitable methods and techniques that can be successfully applied during bulk production.

• Prepare or review technician samples when necessary to identify potential problems before bulk production, including:

  • Measurement and shape issues

  • Garment construction difficulties

  • Missing or incorrect operations

  • Machine, attachment or folder requirements

  • Material handling issues

  • Operation sequence and workflow

  • Required operator skills

  • Production balancing with the IE team

  • Potential quality risks

• Ensure that all technical issues identified during the sample stage are corrected before proceeding to bulk production.

• Provide clear technical instructions to the Knitting Department for both sample and bulk production.

• Ensure that all important points discussed during the PP meeting, including quality, construction, trims and finishing requirements, are properly recorded and followed.

• Ensure that supervisors and production teams have all necessary documents and references before production starts, including specification sheets, approved samples, trim cards and other required materials.

• Closely follow customer specifications and highlight all critical technical and quality requirements to the production team.

• Work with relevant departments to find practical, efficient and cost-effective solutions to technical and production problems.

• Support continuous improvement in quality, productivity and production efficiency while helping to control manufacturing costs.

• Coordinate with factory management and other departments to resolve technical issues during production.

• Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
