Education:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- MBBS degree from a recognized Medical College.
- Valid BMDC registration.
- FCPS Part II trainee in Obstetrics and Gynecology (or equivalent).

Relevant experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in obstetric and gynecological practice.
- Proven experience in surgical obstetrics, emergency management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities & Context: Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage and treat all obstetric and gynecological cases independently following standard clinical protocol under the guidance of the Consultant Gynecologist.
- Conduct obstetric procedures including Normal Vaginal Delivery (NVD), Caesarean Section, Manual Removal of Placenta, Post-Abortion Care (PAC), and related emergency interventions.
- Provide immediate management of obstetric emergencies such as eclampsia, hemorrhage, sepsis, severe anemia, and complications of pregnancy.
- Provide antenatal care (ANC), postnatal care (PNC), neonatal care, and family planning services.
- Ensure appropriate diagnosis and rational use of medications in line with standard clinical protocols.
Teamwork and Supervision
- Work closely with Senior Medical Officers, Midwife Supervisor, Midwives, Nurses, Medical Officers, and Medical Assistants to ensure effective teamwork and patient-centered care.
- Ensure proper handover of patients and clinical responsibilities at the end of each duty.
- Provide support and supervision to junior medical staff, especially during emergencies.
Coordination & Communication
- Maintain strong communication with the Consultant Gynecologist regarding all complex cases and referrals.
- Liaise with other departments, and relevant stakeholders to ensure integrated maternal health service delivery.
- Support coordination with Government health facilities, NGOs, and community leaders when required.
Quality Assurance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to Friendship’s values, ethics, and clinical quality standards.
- Contribute to maintaining infection prevention, rational use of medical supplies, and proper documentation of all procedures.
- Submit duty reports, case records, and other documentation as required.
Working Hours
- Regular duty: Two (2) shifts of 24 hours per week (total 48 hours), separated by one day of rest between shifts.
- On-call duty: During the absence or leave of the Consultant Gynecologist, the Residential Surgeon will be on call for emergency case management.
