Experience:
Academic requirement : MBBS Degree or Master's or Higher Degree in Public Health
MBBS degree from a recognized institution (BMDC registered); postgraduate training in Pediatrics, or Public Health is an advantage
Experience Requirement : At least 10 years of experience in a relevant field area or other national/international donor-funded MNCH programme or Health project. Former GoB officials/consultants and women candidates will be given preference.
• Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, preferably in MNCH services
• Experience working as a consultant or in supervisory/technical advisory roles is preferred
• Strong knowledge of national MNCH guidelines and international standards
• Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and clinical supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and diverse field settings
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools
• Fluency in Bangla and working knowledge of English
GRAUS is implementing a project titled “Momentum Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR)”, covering the period from May 2026 to April 2027, subject to the availability of funds. The project will be implemented in Khagrachari Hill District of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), Bangladesh, to improve the quality, coverage, and continuity of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services across District Hospitals (DH), Upazila Health Complexes (UHC), and union-level facilities. This will be achieved by strengthening the capacity of service providers, enhancing facility readiness, and improving service coordination, with technical support from JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. GRAUS intends to recruit competent, experienced, and qualified consultants to lead and support the project.

Work Place : District Civil Surgeon's office, District Hospital, Upazila Health Complex, and Facility-Based Services
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical and clinical support for MNCH services, including antenatal care (ANC), postnatal care (PNC), safe delivery, newborn care, and child health services
• Offer expert guidance to project teams on clinical protocols, standards, and best practices in MNCH
• Conduct periodic clinical supervision and mentoring of Medical Officers, midwives, and Paramedics
• Review and ensure quality of care and adherence to national guidelines and protocols
• Support management of obstetric and neonatal complications, including referral mechanisms
• Lead or support capacity-building sessions, trainings, and on-the-job coaching for health staff
• Participate in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities, including clinical audits and assessments
• Analyze service delivery data and provide recommendations for quality improvement
• Support integration of MNCH services with nutrition, family planning, and primary healthcare
• Coordinate with government health authorities and stakeholders to strengthen service delivery
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, patient safety, and infection prevention and control (IPC) measures
• Provide technical input for project reports, proposals, and donor communications
• Support emergency health responses and outbreak management when required
• Document best practices, lessons learned, and case studies
