Experience:
Academic Background : Diploma in Midwifery (3 Years) or Junior Midwifery (18 Months), Registered with Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).
Experiences requirement : Minimum 3 years’ experiences in clinic or MNCH project.

GRAUS is implementing a project titled “Momentum Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR)”, covering the period from May 2026 to April 2027, subject to the availability of funds. The project will be implemented in Khagrachari Hill District of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), Bangladesh, with the objective of improving the quality, coverage, and continuity of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services across District Hospitals (DH), Upazila Health Complexes (UHC), and union-level facilities. This will be achieved by strengthening the capacity of service providers, enhancing facility readiness, and improving service coordination, with technical support from JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. GRAUS intends to recruit a competent, experienced, and qualified Midwife to support the delivery of quality MNCH services and contribute to the effective implementation of the project.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Provide quality Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) services at clinic facilities and through outreach services.
• Monitor the health status of pregnant women and their unborn babies.
• Educate patients, their partners, and family members on reproductive health, birth preparedness, and antenatal care.
• Teach pain management techniques to prepare women for labor and delivery.
• Assist in the delivery of babies at birthing centers, patients’ homes, or health facilities, and provide emotional support and encouragement during labor.
• Measure and record patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and request diagnostic tests as required.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families coping with miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, or pregnancy termination.
• Educate new mothers on breastfeeding and newborn care practices.
• Assist patients in developing appropriate birth plans.
• Provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, and safe medication use during pregnancy.
