• Minimum SSC/HSC or equivalent qualification (science background preferred).
• Training in community health or prior experience as a health volunteer/worker will be considered an advantage.
• 3 years of experience in community-based health programs is preferred.
• Basic understanding of MNCH, nutrition, and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work closely with communities and travel within assigned areas.
• Honest, responsible, and motivated to serve the community.
• Ability to maintain basic records and reports.
• Fluency in Bangla; knowledge of local language or dialect will be highly preferred.
GRAUS is implementing a project titled “Momentum Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR)”, covering the period from May 2026 to April 2027, subject to the availability of funds. The project will be implemented in Khagrachari Hill District of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), Bangladesh, to improve the quality, coverage, and continuity of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services across District Hospitals (DH), Upazila Health Complexes (UHC), and union-level facilities. This will be achieved by strengthening the capacity of service providers, enhancing facility readiness, and improving service coordination, with technical support from JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. GRAUS intends to recruit competent, experienced, and qualified Community Health Workers to support the implementation of community-level MNCH interventions under the project.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular household visits to identify pregnant women, newborns, and children under five years of age within the community.
• Provide basic health education on Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH), including safe pregnancy, newborn care, nutrition, hygiene, and family planning.
• Support registration and follow-up of pregnant women for antenatal care (ANC), delivery, and postnatal care (PNC) services.
• Promote institutional delivery and assist families in birth preparedness and complication readiness.
• Monitor growth and development of children and provide nutrition counseling to caregivers.
• Mobilize community members for immunization sessions and outreach clinics.
• Identify danger signs in pregnant women, mothers, and children, and ensure timely referral to health facilities.
• Support early detection of malnutrition and other health conditions and facilitate appropriate referrals.
• Assist in organizing community meetings, awareness sessions, and behavior change communication (BCC) activities.
• Maintain household registers, beneficiary lists, and basic reporting formats.
• Collect and submit data regularly to supervisors in an accurate and timely manner.
• Coordinate with local health facilities, community leaders, and volunteers.
• Support outreach services, health camps, and emergency response activities when required.
• Promote hygiene, sanitation, and disease prevention practices at household level.
• Ensure respectful, culturally sensitive, and confidential engagement with community members.
• Identify vulnerable groups (women, children, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities) and support their access to services.
• Participate in regular training, review meetings, and capacity-building sessions.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors to support project implementation.
