Responsibilities & Context:

Responsible for:

• Prepare monthly action plans in coordination with concerned Head Office personnel and submit for approval.

• Provide technical support to ensure planning and implementation of Char Theatre activities to achieve assigned targets.

• Assist in training, rehearsals, script development, and scene charts, create Songs for Play Production, and supervise artists to ensure quality performances.

• Support the organization and facilitation of basic training, workshops, rehearsals, and other theatre-related activities.

• Support logistics, documentation, bill verification, and stakeholder coordination as required.
  

• Follow up on theatre shows and guide staff and artists to enhance performance quality.

• Attend theatre shows regularly in the working areas to provide on-site support and supervision.

• Maintain regular communication with the supervisor and field teams to ensure timely implementation of planned activities.

• Prepare activity reports, collect case stories, and submit them to Head Office on time.

• Assist in coordinating visits to GO/NGO/Corporate/Business organizations to promote and introduce Char Theatre activities.

• Assist the supervisor in ensuring smooth implementation of the program and maintaining quality standards.

• Support the procurement for purchasing the props and materials for theatre activities.

• Assistance with proper checking, maintenance, and record-keeping of logistics and equipment.

• Verify bills, vouchers, and relevant documents during field visits and coordinate with other program teams as required.

• Regular follow-up on the theatre play of local dish cable.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Skill and Competencies

Educational Requirements:

• A bachelor’s in Drama & Dramatics/Theatre Arts from any recognized university will be prioritized.

Experience Requirements:

• At least 1 to 2 years of work experience in Theatre Management/Theatre for Development.

Job Requirements:

•  Sound Knowledge of Theatre for Development/Popular Theatre.

• Knowledge of theatre activity specialization in play direction, acting, script writing, theatre design, and budgeting.

• Knowledge of playing traditional musical Instruments.

• Proactive, organized, quick learner, good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Bangla and English.

• Must be multi-dimensional, hard worker, and have innovative thinking, new ideas, and motivation to take on challenges.

• Competency in teamwork, adaptability, field orientation, and working with Marginalized communities.

• Willingness to travel to any location.

Computer literacy:

•  Knowledge of basic MS Office operations, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
