  • Demonstrated experience in working closely with government functionaries, local government institutions, and private and non-government organizations.

  • Proven skills in project management, team leadership, human resource management, administration, and financial and budget management.

  • Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload effectively.

  • Ability to contribute to building a proactive team, working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support as needed.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email, and web browsing.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bengali and English.

  • Prior working experience with local communities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) will be considered an added advantage.



Responsibilities & Context:

GRAUS is implementing a project titled “Momentum Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR)”, covering the period from May 2026 to April 2027, subject to the availability of funds. The project will be implemented in Khagrachari Hill District of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), Bangladesh, to improve the quality, coverage, and continuity of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services across District Hospitals (DH), Upazila Health Complexes (UHC), and union-level facilities. This will be achieved by strengthening the capacity of service providers, enhancing facility readiness, and improving service coordination, with technical support from JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. GRAUS intends to recruit a competent, experienced, and qualified District Coordinator (DC) to lead and coordinate project implementation at the district level.

Work Place : District Civil Surgeon’s Office, Family Planning Office, Hill District Council, District Hospital, and Upazila Health Complex

Academic requirement : Master's degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Social Work or any relevant field

Key job responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the implementation of MIHR project activities across the district.

• Ensure the timely implementation of all project deliverables.

• Ensure timely reporting and compliance with donor and organizational requirements.

• Develop district-level work plans and budgets in line with core strategies and principles, in consultation with the Medical Officer, Manager (M&R), and Executive Director, to achieve project objectives.

• Assign tasks to project staff according to their roles and responsibilities and ensure the availability of necessary logistics to perform assigned duties effectively.

• Coordinate and lead the district project team by monitoring and supervising staff, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring effective internal communication.

• Ensure the quality of project activities by establishing monitoring mechanisms, including supportive supervision systems and performance tracking, and produce monthly and quarterly reports.

• Work closely with relevant government stakeholders, including the District Civil Surgeon, District Family Planning Office, District Hospital, Upazila Health Complex, Hill District Council, and other implementing organizations to ensure their support and active participation in project implementation.

• Represent the organization at district and sub-district level forums and share project updates, lessons learned, and best practices.

• Support emergency response and public health interventions during outbreaks or disasters.

• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and safeguarding standards.

• Manage the project budget efficiently and ensure value for money.

• Prepare and submit donor reports as required.
