Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilities:

• Provide physiotherapy service at Friendship physiotherapy center and HHs based.

• Assist in including persons with disabilities in mainstream society according to the CBR matrix.

• Conduct HHs visit, family counselling, referral, awareness building, community mobilization, staff & beneficiaries capacity building. 

• Assist the Rehabilitation officer in identifying persons with disabilities for selecting and distributing assistive devices.

• Develop an individual monthly plan and quarterly implementation plan and a report.  

• Assist in developing and follow up on beneficiaries’ ADL plan at HHs based.

• Assist the Rehabilitation officer in preparing weekly, monthly, half-yearly, annual and event reports.

• Assist the Rehabilitation officer in organizing PT camp with JPUF and independently at project areas such as isolated chars.

• Assist the Rehabilitation Officer with home modification work at the community level (as per assessment and design), such as installation of ramps, handrails etc.

• Maintain the Friendship physiotherapy center and support staff activities.

• Promote a safe and secure environment for all beneficiaries and stakeholders of the project.

• Support outreach and awareness-raising activities

• Contribute to the development of the sustainability plan and execution

• Any kind of task complete which provided by HO or higher management.

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma in Medical Technology (physiotherapy/ occupational therapy) degree under the state medical faculty of Bangladesh.

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 2/3 years’ experience.

• Excellent facilitation and multi-tasking skills.

• In-depth knowledge of the Persons with disabilities rights and Protection Act 2013, gender, disability inclusion, and CBR matrix.

• Work under pressure and a specific deadline

• Good written & spoken communication in English and Bengali.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
