Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in food science and technology, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Knowledge of food processing: A deep understanding of the food manufacturing process, including knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
∎ Food safety regulations: Knowledge of regulations related to food safety, such as FSMS; BSTI, BFSA and FDA.
∎ Product development: Experience in developing new products or reformulating existing ones, including understanding consumer needs and market trends.
∎ Sensory analysis: Understanding of sensory evaluation techniques, including consumer testing, descriptive analysis, and discrimination testing.
∎ Quality assurance: Experience in implementing and maintaining a quality assurance program to ensure products meet the required standards.
∎ Ingredient functionality: Knowledge of ingredient functionality and interactions, including understanding the role of ingredients in product development.
∎ Formulation and recipe development: Experience in recipe development and formulation, including understanding of ingredient compatibility and functionality.
∎ Project management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritization, timeline management, and resource allocation.
∎ Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills, including experience in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
∎ Communication skills: Effective communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
∎ Problem-solving skills: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
∎ Process optimization: Experience in optimizing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase product quality.
∎ Regulatory compliance: Experience in navigating regulatory compliance requirements, including ISO; BSTI and BFSA
∎ Industry knowledge: Understanding of industry trends and best practices, including attending conferences, reading industry publications, and networking with peers in the industry.
