∎ Project Brief: The Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) has been implementing a project titled "Establishment of factory for drying and marketing of pineapple and other fruits with the aim of increasing the income of small entrepreneurs and creating employment" financed by the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). The goal of the project is to increase the production in the food sector through promoting entrepreneurship in the target areas by building a fruits processing factory and producing dry fruits. The project also helps entrepreneurs, especially the low-income population, by facilitating capacity-building training on production and technology and marketing strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for overall production process coordination ensuring food safety requirements. The duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Officer are as follows:
∎ Perform quality control checks starting from production to end products to ensure that they meet quality, hygiene and safety standards.
∎ Perform sensory evaluation for incoming raw materials to ensure consistent quality for product improvement.
∎ Conduct QC inspection for customer feedbacks
∎ Provide technical and quality related assistance to the food technologist as required.
∎ Compile/archive QC report related documents.
∎ Assist to maintain, source and purchase QC equipment when required.
∎ Assist sales or other departments with product specification, certification and quality related documents.
∎ Establishing a laboratory and ensuring routine maintenance.
∎ Other responsibilities assigned by the Senior Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s)(Fruits and vegetable (jam, jelly, pickle, dried food products) at least for 5 years.
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ The applicants need to have experience in the following business area(s): Food/ Beverage Company.
∎ Proficient in MS Word, Power Point, Excel, E-mail etc.
∎ Experienced in business communication, instant matured decision maker.
∎ Should have good managing expertise and professional in handling tuff/crisis situation.
∎ Should have leadership aptitude, physically and mentally strong.
∎ Willing to extend working time if required, Capable to work under pressure etc.
