Experience:

• At least 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Wholesale, Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Industrial Machineries (Generator, Diesel Engine etc.), Indenting

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering

• At least 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Wholesale, Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Industrial Machineries (Generator, Diesel Engine etc.), Indenting

• Age 30 to 50 years

• 10-13 years of relevant Industry experience is preferable.

• A thorough understanding of Group safety & quality standards and statutory requirements

• Strong communications skills and organizational awareness

• Strong problem-solving capability

• Effective planner and able to manage time and multiple concurrent tasks

• Be conversant with and have good knowledge of manufacturing process

• Latest knowledge on equipment and practices

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. Quality Strategy:

·       Develop plant quality strategy.

·       Establish an effective quality structure and processes

·       Establish & deploy a quality process for implementation, change and communication

·       Align with ESAB global/regional quality processes and ensure their adoption.

·       Implement ESAB global/regional quality programs to realize strategic objectives

·       Maintain QMS and other quality standards.

2. Quality Governance:

·       Establish Plant Quality Objective programs and deliverables.

·       Establish KPIs with a measurable tracking mechanism

3. Strengthen Plant Quality competencies

·       Establish mechanisms to improve quality and productivity 

·       Develop and offer quality related training for the plant teams

4. Quality Operations & Resources Management:

·       Identify quality issues and analyze problems; recommend and implement preventive and/or corrective actions

·       Manage quality strategic and tactical matters and decisions.

·       Establish a high performing plant quality team.

·       Establish clear objectives & performance management linked to the ESAB quality strategy.

·       Coach personnel design & develop solutions aligned with the ESAB quality strategy.

·       Manage the country’s quality budget.

Key interfaces

Work closely with the Production, Distribution, Maintenance, HSE, Sales & Marketing, Procurement Team, Functional Heads, External organizations, industrial & general customers and legislative bodies.
