• Master’s degree from reputed University preferably in Business Studies, Economics,    Development Studies or relevant discipline.·      

• At least 3 years of practical experience in relevant positions in NGO programs related to livelihood, entrepreneurship development, and market linkages.

Additional Requirements:

• Age At most 45 years

• Ensure adherence to all organizational policies, compliance standards, and donor requirements.

• Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to strengthen project visibility and accountability

• Support the preparation of periodic progress reports, case studies, and communication materials for management and donors.

• Assist in organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, training sessions, and exposure visits related to livelihood and market linkage.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of project interventions, including surveys, focus groups, and market studies.

• Maintain accurate records of project implementation processes, beneficiary engagement, and market linkage activities.

• Work closely with the Project Coordinator and field teams to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.

• Contribute to knowledge management initiatives by developing documentation and communication materials for the head office.

• Undertake any other tasks assigned by senior management to ensure smooth delivery of project objectives.

Responsibilities & Context:

]Job Context:

The Project Officer – Livelihood and Market Linkage will lead the planning and execution of livelihood interventions, ensuring that project participants are equipped with skills and resources to access sustainable economic opportunities. The role involves building strong market connections, supporting entrepreneurship, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders. The officer will monitor project outcomes, document lessons learned, and contribute to strategic planning for livelihood programs. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, with a focus on empowering communities and promoting inclusive development.

 Key Job Responsibilities:

Livelihood Program Implementation & Coordination.

• Plan, organize, and implement livelihood activities in line with project objectives.

• Ensure smooth coordination with field teams, community groups, and partner organizations.

Market Linkage Development

• Identify potential markets and value chains suitable for project beneficiaries.

• Facilitate partnerships between producers, cooperatives, and buyers to strengthen market access.

  Capacity Building & Training

• Conduct training sessions on entrepreneurship, vocational skills, financial literacy, and business development.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to beneficiaries to enhance their income-generating capacity.

  Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Track progress of livelihood initiatives and market linkage activities.

• Collect data, prepare reports, and document success stories for internal and donor requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector actors.

• Advocate for inclusive livelihood opportunities, especially for women, youth, and vulnerable groups.

Market Linkage and Private Sector Engagement:

• Conduct market assessments to identify viable business opportunities and value chains.

• Build linkages between project participants and buyers, suppliers, wholesalers, and local businesses.

• Organize trade fairs, networking sessions, and market exposure visits for participants.

Safeguarding & Compliance:

• Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program's objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. Serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding & Child protection for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.

• The incumbent must adhere to all policies of Mukti Cox’s Bazar and ensure full compliance with organizational requirements.
